Navigational Information

1. Anchorage. The boundary of the anchorage is an arc of the circle of 1 nm radius, described from the pier head of the northern breakwater. The lowest depth of 6.7 m is situated by the southwestern margin of the anchorage.

2. Approach. Having gone past the "WŁA" light buoy, lay the 260° course which goes along the line of WŁADYSŁAWOWO day-beacon range . The day-beacon range (dir. 260°) going through the center of the approach fairway to the port is made of a beacon on the eastern breakwater (approximately 150 m from its pier head), with the tip of the Town Hall's tower (Fisherman's House). Depths within this section are variable and amount to from 4 m to 6 m. Upon coming up with the pier head of the northern breakwater make a turn to the right and enter the harbor through the center between the breakwaters. The fairway's breadth amounts to around 60 m. Entering the port during strong winds from the northern to eastern directions may be difficult. By night, the leading marks (dir. 260°) are provided by: bottom lights on the pond (on the eastern breakwater), upper lights on the roof of the cold store building.

3. Warnings. During very strong (exceeding 8°B) and sustained winds from northern to eastern directions, entering the port may be dangerous (side wave on entering). Allowing for the constantly changing depths within the approach area, entering vessels should each time consult the harbormaster's office by radio on the current navigational and depth situation. While on the fairway and until you enter the harbor it is required to follow the indications of the deep-sea lead.

The need of a pilot is to be notified by radio within 2 h before the planned arrival in the harbor's roads.
