Fishing Vessel Repair Shipyard (Polish abbreviation: RSR) was established in the sixties as a result of developing the then existing amateur repair workshops for fishing vessel. Nowadays, it constitutes one of manufacture departments of PPiUR "Szkuner". The basic field of the shipyard's services is repairs of the Baltic Sea fishing fleet and lesser science-explorative, coast guard, rescue, military and tourists vessels. For the purposes of the market was singled out position, where scraps units withdrawn from service. This field is complemented by manufacture and repair of deck equipment, fishing equipment and fish preservation equipment as well as of steel structures. The entire renovation work is carried out with special care to protect the environment.
The shipyard performs as responsible tasks as lengthening or redevelopment of vessels and construction of traditional wooden boats (e.g. it carried out a complete reconstruction of "Kapitan Głowacki" sailing vessel, former "Henryk Rutkowski").
The works are carried out under supervision of Polish Register of Ships of which branch in Władysławowo is located in the harbor. The shipyard has a valid certificate of approval of the PRS in the areas of:
The shipyard also has its own wet dock of 4.5 to 6 m in depth, and quays of total length of around 450 m for carrying out repair and equipment works. The land support equipment is an assembly room of cubic capacity of 8.970 m3 equipped with an overhead crane of lifting capacity of 80 kN, workshop and public rooms of total cubic capacity of 29.700 m3. These buildings store machines and facilities for wood and metal processing as well as special instrumentation for repairing power transmission systems and deck equipment. All buildings are provided with electrical power network and compressed air installation and heated based on an oil-fired stokehold. The shipyard has a railway siding connected to the national railway network.
The Fishing Vessel Repair Shipyard employs around 50 people. During the repair peak which takes place in the summer the employment increases by 30-50 %, mainly through transferring employees with shipbuilding experience from other departments of the company. Manufacture employees are organized in sections of dozen or so people which gather experts in hull and equipment works, painting and boat building, as well as accessory teams for mechanical working, tool making and maritime railway handling.
