The most important objective of the activity of PPiUR "Szkuner" is fishing, fish processing and sales. "Szkuner" owns 8 fishing vessels: three of type B-280 and five B-410/403 class. Fishing units operates at Baltic sea, fish mainly sprats, herrings and cods. Company also purchases fish from boat owners from Władysławowo and from neighboring ports. The company's location directly on the harbor guarantee the quality of fish we deliver - fish are transported from ship cargo bays directly to our production halls or cold stores. Most of the 970-person staff of PPUiR "Szkuner" is employed in the fish processing division. Production halls covering the total area of 4190 m² allow us to handle the following quantities of fish on annual basis:

• Cod from 2,000 to 3,000 tons
• Herring from 5,000 to 6,000 tons
• Sprat from 6,000 to 12,000 tons
• Flatfish from 500 to 700 tons

depending on kind of production. Our production halls are equipped with state-of-the-art fish-processing machines and appliances. Our cold store is capable of holding up to 1,200 tons of products at a time. "Szkuner" also has zero-temperature rooms capable of storing up to 280 tons of fish, whereas the freezer chests and the freezing tunnel are capable of freezing up to 80 tons of fish per day. In 2008 additional new cold store has been built. We also have our own scale ice manufacture, its output reaching 160 tons of ice per day, as well as a processing line user to transform fish waste into liquid fodder named pirosiloryb.

A major asset of our company is our experience in trading fish on domestic and foreign markets. We export our products to France, Denmark, Holland, Great Britain, Germany and also to Serbia Croatia and Romania. "Szkuner" products, particularly of cod fillets have a reputation among our regular clients.

"Szkuner" has the licence to export fish to the European Union markets. (PL 22111801 EC). We produce in accordance with the requirements of HACCP and ISO 22000 2005.
